By thrashing Chinas world number 22 Wang Qiang from the Tianjin Open second round britains Heather Watson earned her win in over two years.
Watson, rated 103 places won 6-3 6-0 against the number two seed within one hour 18 minutes at China.
An opponent had not been beaten against by the 27-year-old rated since victory over world number 19 Anastasija Sevastova at Wimbledon at 2017.
