Zlatan Ibrahimovic shows age is no barrier by breaking LA Galaxy club record with hat-trick

Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted a hat-trick and bankrupt LA Galaxy’s club record for goals in a season in their 7-2 victory over Sporting Kansas City on Sunday night.
Even the 37-year-old scored his 24th, 25th and 26th goals of the effort to help snap a four-match winless run.
Ibrahimovic scored his first goal before exceeding the previous goalscoring record of Carlos Ruiz with two strikes, after his initial penalty was saved.
Uriel Antuna, joe Corona plus a double from Sebastian Lletget helped Galaxy for their convincing victory.
Ibrahimovic has scored 48 goals in 51 matches at the MLS.
“I think I’m the very best ever to play in MLS. And that is without joking,” Ibrahimovic said.
“Scoring goals is simple, you only have to be similar to Zlatan and it’s forthcoming,” said the former Manchester United striker, who’s two goals behind leading scorer Carlos Vela.
“I strive to help the team in the best manner and that’s by accomplishing goals. I felt and I must continue, I need to help my staff in the way and that’s to score goals and make it simpler.
“It’s a fantastic outcome, it was a fantastic game.
“The result says something else however, the first half was quite even, we performed with a good team that plays good football. At the second we were more powerful and once we obtained the opportunities we had been scoring so that was the distinction.
“It is fine, we still have four games to go. To acquire, to get the confidence to score goals for your target gap. Everybody did a fantastic job, even if we were a tiny bit tired in the finish, however, we did a great job.”
LA Galaxy went into just two in front of Portland, a stage ahead of San Jose and fifth place in the Western Alliance.
